As a roofing specialist, Harris Roofing Limited have vast experience working with new handmade tiles throughout the New Forest. This project was a new oak framed building built alongside the river, to include a new garage.
Harris Roofing Limited supplied a new handmade tile from Michelmersh tiles which are a local company near Romsey. The tile type chosen was a Vintage which is a four tile mix of colour, and the fitments. Special attention was given to the roof windows which were all cast iron with a lead soakered finish where the tiles met the glass.
The balconies and dormers cheeks were all supplied and fitted with code six lead. The garden room flat roof was supplied with code six lead, incorporating a rolled finish and gullies either side for the water outlets. All Lower porches and bays were fitted to match. For this project, we used a lime mix for all mortar.
